Appearing of the model of learning religion in multicultural/multireligious societies

This study is an experimental study that has been made in the USA. In this study, parochial schools have been dealt with in the concept of "model of learning religion". Participants have been chosen by snowball and maximum variety sampling. There have been conducted some interviews with participants in view of model of learning religion. In this concept, they have been asked some questions to figure out their perspectives about goals and curriculum of religious education, and status of religious education in the USA. The results of this research are follows: The goal of religious education is to make students believer which it is appropriate with the goal of model of learning religion and it seems that people are satisfied about not having religious education in the public schools as a result of separation of church and state.
