An investigation into the values of the communication which is used in classroom activities by teachers

The aim of this paper is to investigate the universal values which are used in the classroom communication bye preschool teachers. The working group of the study consists of four pre-school teachers working in two primary schools and one independent pre-school in Bingol and Tekirdag's town Hayrabolu. As a means of data collection, the universal values-used by pre-school teachers in the classroom- has been observed by "Unstructured and Non-participant Observation Technique". In accordance with the purpose of this study, teachers' behaviors were noted and their verbal expressions were recorded with the help of tape recorder. In order to analyze the research data, Content Analysis-one of the qualitative research methods-was used. The report of the sound recordings consisted of 78 pages. According to the findings of the research, 12 different values were used by teachers in classroom activities. Among these values, the most commonly used universal values are "Politeness Cooperation, Responsibility, Respect and Patience".
