Students’ Utilization of Artificial Intelligence as Writing Scaffolds: Teachers’ Perspectives and Attitudes in a Saudi Institute

This study examines the perceptions and attitudes of English writing instructors at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) toward students’ utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), as scaffolds for academic writing. Employing a cross-sectional design, a survey was conducted with 43 writing instructors to assess their views on the implications of AI integration in academic tasks.The study investigates whether AI technologies can enhance writing pedagogy innovatively and effectively while addressing concerns surrounding academic integrity
