Abstract

The Church of Carthage is considered one of the most important Christian centers in North Africaduring the early centuries of the Common Era. It played a prominent role in the emergence anddevelopment of Western Christian theology. Its early Fathers were distinguished by their use of the Latin language in theological writing, their focus on the practical and moral aspects of Christian life,and their defense of the faith in the face of persecution and paganism.
