Abstract

Background: Diffuse disease of the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery remains one of the greatest challengesin coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Extensive atherosclerosis, severe calcification, long-segment stenosis, andinvolvement of multiple septal and diagonal branches often preclude conventional distal anastomosis, making completemyocardial revascularization difficult to achieve.
