The Urgency of Social Studies Learning through Strengthening Authentic Assessment for Teachers in Elementary School

This study aims to determine the importance of authentic activities in social studies learning for teachers in elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative research with the Literature Review method. The data collected is based on references from various sources to reveal various theories that are relevant to the problems studied. The results of the analysis show that authentic assessment has a positive impact on the development of students' knowledge, attitudes, skills, and values. so that Authentic assessment can be achieved through teacher mastery in its implementation, the results of the assessment are valid, objective, open, fair, integrated, holistic and sustainable, systematic, accountable, and educative to achieve social studies learning objectives in educating students to become good citizens.
