Underwater image enhancement is a critical task in various applications, such as underwater robotics, marine biology, and underwater exploration, as the optical properties of water often result in poor visibility and distorted color in captured images. In this paper, we propose a novel underwater image enhancement method based on adaptive color correction and an improved Retinex algorithm.
