Abstract

Background and Aim: The distinctive rise of procaclcitonin level during infections and its subsequentdecline help to assess response to treatment. Procalcitonin guidance offers personalized antibioticregimes, particularly beneficial for critically ill patients. We aimed to assess the effect of procalcitoninguided antibiotic treatment on treatment duration using meta-analysis.
